Catherine A. (Goodwin) Andrews, 89, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully in her home January 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Cathy, or Honey as she was known to those closest, was born in Bradford, MA, on April 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Lanigan) Goodwin. She was predeceased by her sisters Marion (Goodwin) Nordengren, Patsy Goodwin, and her brother Francis (Buzz) Goodwin. She was raised in Bradford, MA and graduated from Haverhill High class of 1950. Prior to starting her family, she was employed as a lead electronics technician with Western Electric in Andover. She received her certification in IBM punch cards for early computer technology.
She was the beloved mother of Wanda Hill (her husband Richard) of Lancaster, MA; Bob Andrews (his wife Lynn) of Hudson, MA; Darrel Andrews (his wife Lauren) of Hudson, MA. and Timothy Andrews (his wife Maria) of Rochester, NH. Beloved Nana to Corey Lynn Andrews (her fiancé Steven Fiorenza) of Stamford, CT.; Robert Andrews (his fiancée Natalie Pellecchia) of Fitchburg, MA; Kaitlin Walker (her husband Ryan) of Lancaster, MA; Taylor Kenney (her husband Michael) of Lyndeborough, NH; Monica Brown (her husband David) of Cape Coral, FL. and Zachary Hill of Lancaster, MA.
She was a doting Nana to her great-grandchildren Charlotte Walker, Avaline and Weston Kenney, Emma and Grace Brown – with more on the way. Aunt Honey is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she adored.
She devoted her life to nurturing her family and watching all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Whether they participated in academics, sports, theater, dance or music, if her kids were in it, she was sure to be there. She loved cooking, gardening, nature, and dancing. She was an avid hockey fan, card and mahjongg player. She loved spending time with her family and many friends in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Maine. She will be dearly missed by all and will remain in our hearts.
A private family service will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to the Jimmy Fund or Dana Farber.
