Abilio Caetano, 81, of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Oct. 28th at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved wife Lucia Laureano (Moleiro) Caetano of Hudson. Mr. and Mrs. Caetano were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on the 15th of November.
Abilio was born and raised in Mira de Aire, Portugal, son of the late Carlos and Marta Caetano. He moved to Hudson in 1974 from Mira de Aire and was employed by the former Koro Corp. in Hudson from 1974 to 1992. He was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. .
Besides his wife he leaves his daughter, Maria Clara Caetano Cote and her husband Douglas of Leominster. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Douglas P. Cote Jr. and Julia M. Cote.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 31st at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31st, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the mass at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
