Aclino S. Antunes, 64, of Hudson, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 25th. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Isaura M. (Medeiros) Antunes of Hudson.
Aclino was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores, Portugal, son of the late Luis F. and Lina (Da Silva) Silva. He has resided in Hudson since 1967. Aclino was a very talented soccer athlete and participated in many matches both in Portugal and the U.S. At one time he played at the semi-proffessional level. He was employed by S & F Concrete of Hudson for many until retiring in 1990. He also was an avid soccer fan following his playing years. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four children, Ana Silva and her husband Orismar of Hudson, Luis Antunes and his wife Leighann of Hudson, Victor Antunes and his wife Stephanie of New Hampshire and Janice Antunes and her fiancAC. Manuel Munoz of Marlboro. He is also survived by his sister, Aldora Pacheco of Hudson; his three brothers, Aguiar Silva of Canada, Luis Silva of Marlboro, Jose Silva of Hudson; three step brothers, 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Vasco Silva and his grandson Brian Bettencourt.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 28th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 27th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
