Adelaide G. (Goncalves) Da Silva, 87, of Hudson, died on Friday, Feb. 14th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Domingos Da Silva of Hudson.
Adelaide was born and raised in Carvalhelhos, Portugal, daughter of the late Anibel and Maria (Ferreira) Goncalves. She emigrated to Hudson in 1979 and was employed by the Bose Corporation of Framingham for many years until her retirement. Adelaide always looked forward to spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and sharing many dishes she prepared, especially during the holidays. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 7 children, Fernanda Lage and her significant other Brian Williamson, Maria Afonso and her husband Daniel, Manuela Fernandes and her husband Candido, Gloria Araujo, wife of the late Jorge Araujo, Eduardo Da Silva and his wife Danielle and Jose Manuel Da Silva and his wife Maria Augusta, all of Hudson and Maria Adelaide Freitas and her husband Dinis of Portugal. She is also survived by her brother, Jose Goncalves of Portugal; her 13 grandchildren, Suzy Lage Afonso, Kevin Lage, Alicio, Natali and Henrique Freitas, Domingos, Vitor, Dinis and Augusto Silva, Melissa and Michelle Fernandes and Stephanie and Richard Araujo; 5 great grandchildren, Tiago and Leonor Freitas, Jorden Afonso, Kolby Lage and Austin Freitas and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 17th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
