Adelbert Roy Gilson., 82, of Hudson, died Friday, April 20th at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty R. (Cauchon) Gilson of Hudson.
Adelbert was born and raised in Eastport, Maine, son of the late Hazel (Gilson) Acker and step-son of the late Irving Acker. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Salem. He was employed by the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham for many years until his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Barrie L. Gilson and his wife Kathy of Hudson; his grandson, Brandin L. Gilson of Hudson; his three brothers-in-law, Robert Cauchon of Colorado, Richard Cauchon of California and Albert Cauchon of Nevada. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may gather for a service and celebration of Adelbert's life on Sunday, April 29th at 12:00 noon in the Union Church of Stow, 317 Great Road, (Rt. 117), Stow, MA. A private burial service in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA will be held at the convenience of the family.
