Adriel R. Gomez, 17, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 21st at Marlboro Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Lia (Rocadas) Gomez of Hudson and his father, Vagner Gomez of Marlboro. He is also survived by his three brothers, Jonny and Evan Gomez both of Hudson, Tom Devine of Haverhill; his grandparents, Benny Rocadas and John Gaucher of Fitchburg, Efavito and Maria Gomez of Hudson; his aunt, Ana Rocadas of Medway; his uncle, Elmer Gomez of Pennsylvania and his many cousins, and friends.
Adriel was born in Worcester and raised in Hudson. He was a student at Hudson High School and was well known for his giving spirit within the community. He was a volunteer at the First United Methodist Church, Aguape CafAC. Soup Kitchen weekly and was always devoting his spare time to help others. His passion was Jujitsu and MMA Fighting, spending many hours practicing and conditioning. He was currently holding a Blue Belt in Jujitsu as a member of Old School MMA in Marlboro.
Adriel will be remembered for his devotion and love towards his family and the energy and spirit he shared with family and friends.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, May 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of Adriel's life at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31st at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
