Agostinho Carvalho, 85, of Hudson, died on Sunday, March 24th at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maria (Costa) Carvalho of Hudson.
Agostinho was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late Bernadino and Maria (Braga) Carvalho. He moved to Hudson from Portugal in 1972 and was employed as a machine operator by the Hudson Combing Co. for 20 plus years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Beatriz Maimone and her husband Michael of Acton, Jose Carvalho and his wife Belmira of Hudson, Antonio Carvalho and his wife Odelta of Hudson, Rosa Marston of Hudson and Manuel Carvalho and his wife Tracie of Manchester, MA. He is also survived by his sister, Fatima Monteiro of Hudson; 9 loving grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
