Albert J. DeMarco Jr., 76, of Leominster, former long time resident of Hudson, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 19th. He is survived by his wife of 25 years and companion of 47 years, Margaret E. (Zicuis) DeMarco of Leominster.
Albert was born and raised in Cambridge, son of the late Albert J. DeMarco Sr. and Irma (Castrucci) DeMarco. He attended local schools in Cambridge and was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Albert has resided in Leominster the past 23 years following his move from Hudson. He was employed as a mail carrier working out of the Hudson Post Office for many years until retiring in1990. He was a member of the American Legion and member of Saint Ann's Parish in Leominster.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Carmen Fairbanks of Tennessee, Kristina DeMarco of Hudson, Leonard "Lenny" DeMarco and his wife Sandra of Hudson, Albert J. DeMarco III of Marlboro; his two step-daughters, Denise Fernald of Lunenburg and Kathy Rose and her husband David of Northboro. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Bello of Malden, Marcia Mahoney of Florida; his brother, James Mahoney of Cambridge; 9 loving grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 and burial followed with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
