Albert R. Scansaroli, 88, formerly from Stow MA., passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He joins his beloved wife Carol (West) Scansaroli in heaven, who predeceased him in 2006.
Albert was born on February 12, 1930 in Marlborough, Ma, a son of the late Peter and Catherine (Saia) Scansaroli. He was raised in Hudson, MA, where he graduated from High School and lived for most of his life. Shortly after graduating high school, Albert enlisted in the United States Air Force and honorably served his Nation from 1950 until 1954, during the Korean War, earning the rank of Sergeant. Albert attended Worcester Poly Technical Institute, where he studied engineering and subsequently went to work for the department of defense in the Electronic Systems Division. Albert was sole Proprietor of Stow Branch Nursery, where he designed and installed landscapes, and hardscapes bringing beauty and tranquility to the owners of many homes and businesses in the area.
Albert is survived by his four children, Aaron Scansaroli and his spouse Gail, Gary Scansaroli and his spouse Chris, Brian Scansaroli, and Olivia Austin and her husband Kevin; his grandchildren David, Julie, Leia, Brittany, Blaine, Margaux, Brie and Brian Jr.; his stepchildren, Michelle DiNatali, Pamela Specht and Dana Wright; 6 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife Carol (West) Scansaroli, he was also predeceased by his sister, Rose Marie Garcia.
Relative and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 10 am until 12 pm, on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA; with a funeral service at 12 p.m. in the funeral home and procession to Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson for burial.
