Hudson, MA
Alfred C.Domenico, 88, of Hudson died Saturday, Sept. 27 at Bolton Manor Nursing Home in Marlboro. He was the husband of Pearl (Clark) Domenico of Hudson.
Born in Clinton, son of the late Peter M. and Josephine (Dorazio) Domenico, he graduated from Clinton H.S. class of 1938 and was a WWII veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Division, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment. He was employed as a bartender by the former Fireside Lounge in Clinton, the former Lake Boone Lounge in Hudson and Paul & Jerry's Lounge of Hudson. He was a former employee of Bay State Abrasives in Westboro and retired in 2008 from the New England Primate Research Center in Southboro. He enjoyed bird watching, tending to his vegetable garden and delivered "Meals on Wheels" for 21 years until 2007. He loved traveling to his vacation spot in Kennebunk, ME where he picked blueberries and relaxed. He was a lifetime member of the Son's of Italy in Clinton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Sue Alberghini and husband David of Hudson, Joanna Hickey and husband Charles of Marlboro. He is also survived by his sister, Stella Nowick of Raymond, NH; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Larry, Paul and Raymond Domenico and Alice Mahar.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson.
