Alice (Dimouro) Ferrera 94 of Lyman, ME, formerly of Hudson, MA passed away on Friday October 21, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Francisca and Paul Dimouro and the wife of the late Alfred Ferrera. She was born in RI, January 5, 1917 and was the youngest and only survivor of 6 siblings, Josephine Carassai, Mary Epaminonda, Michael, Frank and Sam Dimouro also Jimmy Dimouro.
She is the mother of Richard P. Ferrera and Philip Ferrera, and her late daughter, Shirley Monteiro. She leaves behind 6 Grandchildren, John and Debra Ferrera, Tom, Richie and Michael Ferrera and Jim Monteiro. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Alice lived in Hudson, MA most of her life until retiring and moving to Hudson, FL. until 13 years ago when she moved back home with her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Patricia, whom at the time lived on Lake Boone, Stow MA. From there 6 years ago they all moved to Lyman. Alice's enjoyment was her crocheting and watching for the deer in the winter in her own back yard. And her summer fun was at Sand Pond Campground, where everyone knew her and loved her as the Grammy of the Campground.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, Oct. 29th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
