Alice May (Simonds) Fletcher, 96, of Hudson, MA, died peacefully Monday, October 22, 2007 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center in Marlborough. Throughout her life, she shared with her family and friends a spirit of fun and laughter that we will always appreciate.
She was the wife of the late John Abbott Fletcher and is survived by her 2 sons, Steve Fletcher of Lancaster, MA and Bruce Fletcher of Worcester, MA. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Jane Androski of Bolton, MA, Tori and Amy Fletcher of California; her good friend Shirley Sherman of Hudson, MA and her sons in law Joseph Androski of Bolton, MA and Michael Walden of Lancaster, MA. Her daughter, Bonnie Androski died in August of 2006.
She was born in Natick, MA, daughter of the late Fred W. and Ethel (Robinson) Simonds. After high school, she attended Oberlin College in Columbus, OH where she received her bachelor's degree.
She was an employee of Union Carbide-Linde Co. of Boston for many years as a secretary until her retirement. After retirement she spent 15 years in Kissimmee, FL before returning to Hudson.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Sunday, October 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Funeral services are to be held at the convenience of the family.
