Born in Barbados and raised in Cambridge, son of the late Joseph and Iola (Prescod) Payne; graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School; later attended Boston College; Retired electrical engineer for Data General, Digital Equipment Corp. and several other local companies. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, Feb. 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
