Ana N. Hogan-Keaney

Ana N. (Neves) Hogan-Keaney, 60, of Sutton, MA, formerly of Marlborough and Hudson, MA, died unexpectedly at Marlborough Hospital on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Ana was born in Sobralia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, daughter of the late Pedro de Oliveira Neves and the late Maria Rita de Oliveira. She was raised in Sao Paulo Brazil. She emigrated to the United States in 2000 settling in Marlborough, MA. She resided in both Hudson and Marlborough, MA until 2016 when she moved to Sutton, MA. She owned and operated Hogans Hair Design in Marlborough, MA on Main Street for many years. She recently sold the business but remained active at the shop. 

She leaves her beloved husband of 6 years, Robert J. Keaney of Sutton, MA; her son, Diego Batista of Marlborough, MA; her daughter, Mary Ellen Neves of Sao Paulo, Brazil and her 6 siblings, Vera Neves, Antonio Neves, Joaquim Neves, Maria Aparecida Neves, Sueli Stefanini and Livia Neves. She is also survived by her former husband Paul Hogan of Marlborough, MA along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ana was dedicated to her business and all the clients she loved and cherished. She enjoyed traveling, preferably on road trips to many destinations, the Carolina’s, Florida to name a few. Although she was not a fan of airline travel, she did visit Paris and Belgium twice with her husband Robert. She always liked to spend time outside gardening and in her spare time she would craft many varieties of cheeses. Ana started spending more time at home which allowed her more time in the kitchen cooking over the past few months since selling the business. Ana’s life was cut short and has left many saddened by her loss. She was loved by so many who will always cherish her unique spirit, friendly personality and loyalty to everyone she loved and knew.

Calling hours for Ana will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4pm-7pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, beginning at 9am at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home; followed by procession to Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough, MA.
