Andrew J. Paplowsky, 96, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Aug. 31st at Marlborough Hospital.

Andrew was born in Lowell son of the late Jacob and Mary (Greska) Paplowsky. He was raised in Hudson where he attended local schools and was a 1938 graduate of Hudson High School. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He worked for many years with the Raytheon Co. in both the Sudbury and Wayland locations. Andrew was a life member of Hudson V.F.W.

Andrew had many interests throughout his life such as playing sports in his younger years and always enjoyed golfing with his friends. He cherished spending time with his family and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his nephew, Joseph Bekauski of Hudson and was predeceased by his sister Eva Bekauski. He was predeceased by his longtime partner Gloria Martineau and leaves her son Robert Martineau of Ledyard, CT along with Roberts children, Brian Martineau and his wife Heather and their children Patrick and Emma of Putnam CT; David Martineau and his wife Mona and their children Mena and Andrew of Alexandria, VA; and Robby Martineau of Fairfield, CT all of whom Andrew loved and cherished as his own.

A graveside service will be held on Monday Sept. 26th at 12:00 noon in St. Michael's Cemetery Cox St. Hudson. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Florence may be made to: Hudson Senior Center, 29 Church St, Hudson, MA 01749.
