Ann Corinne (Duley) Parker, 86, life-long resident of Hudson, MA, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Donald H. Parker in 2017.
Ann was born in Marlborough, MA, daughter of the late Stanley and Ida (Spratt) Duley. She was raised in Hudson and attended local schools. She spent time working at the Cox Street School Cafeteria in Hudson while her children attended the school. She later worked for Hendries Ice Cream at their Southborough, MA location. She spent many years as a bank teller with the Hudson National Bank until her retirement. She was a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Hudson, MA and the Hudson Senior Center.
Ann leaves her son, Michael J. Parker and his wife Mary and her daughter, Patti Parker all of Hudson, MA. She was the mother of the late infant Donald H. Parker Jr. who died in 1957. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Michael Patrick Parker, Shannon Parker and Christina MacDonald and her husband Michael; her 5 great grandchildren, Connor, Ryan, Avery, Michael and Wesson; two sisters, Patricia Phaneuf and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury, MA, Eileen Devlin of Hudson, MA along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Warren Duley and Sheila Whitney.
Ann lived a simple life caring for her home and family and always looked forward to those special trips to Hampton Beach, NH and Ossipee Lake, NH. She loved spending time with her children, attending many of her sons and grandsons high school hockey games. Ann would entertain her girls by taking many surprise trips, fondly referred to as “Safari” all getting in the car and heading to the destination she only knew. She cherished Fridays at the Hudson Senior Center, dancing and singing with all her friends. Ann truly enjoyed spending time and going places with her friends, even later when Ann could no longer drive her special group of friends, Nancy O’Neil, Ruby Desrocher, Peggy Cronin and Marylou Finn always made sure to provide the transportation needed. For all those who loved and knew Ann, she will be remembered as a vibrant, loyal and loving person. She will truly be missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A service and celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, December28, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. A short graveside service will follow at Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA.
