Anna Rose (Mackevicz) Hureau, 91, a lifetime resident of Hudson, Ma, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health.
Anna was born on May 30, 1927, the only child of the late John and Rose Mackevicz. She was raised in Hudson, where she graduated from high school and lived in the family home her entire life. Anna worked as a project manager for Inforonics Inc, until her retirement. She was a long-time devoted member of Grace Baptist Church in Hudson.
Anna was very active in the community volunteering in the local choir as well as the Hudson Senior Center, where she enjoyed spending time with her many close friends. Anna also enjoyed knitting and crocheting; founding a local group that donated hats and blankets to local veterans. She also helped prepare the weekly suppers at Hudson First United Methodist Church. Anna loved her community and loved her family home in which she was raised.
Anna is survived by her three sons, Ken Packard and his wife Theresa of Mendon, VT, Stephen Packard and his wife Susan of Auburn, MA and Paul Hureau and his wife Jen of Hudson, MA and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she adored.
Calling hours will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 0149. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Rd., Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be private at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Grace Baptist church in Anna’s name.
