Antoinette "Toni" (Coito) Souza, 84, of Hudson died Saturday, Aug. 16 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She leaves her husband of 66 years, Anibal "John" J. Souza of Hudson.
She was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Sousa) Coito and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. She was employed by the former Data General Co. in Hudson as a supervisor until retiring in 1984. Mrs. Souza was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson, Hudson Portuguese Club and especially enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Penny M. Spellman and her companion James Eisner of Hudson; her 3 grandchildren, John Spellman and wife Jennifer of Lancaster, Todd Spellman and wife Lizabeth of Berlin and Raymond Spellman and wife Jennifer of Clinton. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister to the late Henry Coito who died in 2005, Helen Mercuri, Florence Blanchette, Adeline Caron, Bob Coito and Sarah Riddle.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749
