Antonio C. Bairos, 58, of Hudson, died on Tuesday, June 16th at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maria Fatima (Andrade) Bairos.
Born in Santa Maria, The Azores, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Chaves) Bairos, Antonio moved to Hudson in 1975 and has resided here the past 33 years. He was employed by Middlesex Paving Co. of Littleton until retiring in 1990. He served in the Army of Portugal from 1970 to 1973 in Angola. He was a member of the Portuguese Continental Union, member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter, Zelia Bairos Frias and her husband Richard of Hudson; his son, Christopher Anthony Bairos of Hudson; three sisters, Isabel Freitas, Maria Nunes and Rosa Resendes, all of Santa Maria. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Maia Isabel Frias, Julian Antonio Frias and Donovan Joseph Frias, all of Hudson, along with many nieces, nephews and In-Laws. He was the brother of the late Jose Bairos of Santa Maria.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 19th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
