Hudson, MA
Antonio C. Cabral, 88, of Hudson, died Friday, Aug. 21st at Marlboro Hospital. He was the wife of 56 years to the late Umbelina (Carvalho) Cabral who died in 2004.
Born in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late Jose and Filomena (Chaves) Braga, Antonio has resided in Hudson since 1977 after moving from Santa Maria. He was employed as an assembler by the former Thomas Taylor Co. in Hudson until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
He is survived by his three sons, David Cabral of Hudson, Eduardo Cabral of Taunton and Jose B. Cabral of Canada. He is also survived by his siblings, Maria Cabral, Filomena Sousa, Jose Cabral, Encarnacao Sousa, Rosa Bairos, Isabel Monteiro, Angelina Tavares, Carlos Braga and Celestina Andrade; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Manuel Cabral and brothers Jordao Braga and Angelo Chaves.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 4th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3rd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
