Antonio D. Chaves-76, of Hudson, MA died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria (Sousa) Chaves of Hudson.
Born in Santa Maria, the Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Chaves) Chaves.
Mr. Chaves was an employee of New England Tape of Hudson, MA before his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Jorge Chaves, Ana Maria Andrade, Paulo Chaves and Emilly Braga, all of Hudson, MA.
He is also survived by his 4 sisters, Maria Chaves and Margarida Lima of Canada and Helena Cordeiro and Deolinda Chaves of Hudson, MA; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
