He was raised in Santa Maria, finished school and later immigrated to Hudson in 1969 where he met and married the love of his life on April 5, 1975. Before retiring, Antonio worked as a concrete finisher at S&F Concrete for over 20 years.

Antonio was an active member in the Hudson Portuguese community as a longtime member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and Saint Michael Parish. He had a love for music and played multiple instruments including the accordion, guitarra de terra and harmonica. He also played the tuba as a member of the Hudson and Lowell Portuguese marching bands for many years.
True to his Azorean heritage, he loved fishing on the Cape Cod Canal and tending to his garden at home and watching his favorite soccer team Benfica. He and Maria have been seasonal campers at their home away from home, at Bourne Scenic Park, for over 30 years where they have truly enjoyed creating countless memories with their family and dear friends. He will always be remembered for his fun sense of humor and his contagious smile.
Most of all, Antonio loved spending time with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren.
