Hudson, MA
Arthur D. DerMugrditchian-91, of Hudson, MA, formally of Watertown, MA, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at U-Mass Health System, Marlborough Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Takuhi (Yerganian) DerMugrditchian of Hudson, MA.
He was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Mugrditch and Anne (Boyajian) DerMugrditchian.
He moved to Hudson in 1963 from Watertown, MA. He was a former employee for the Table Talk Pie Co. of Worcester delivering pies to Boston area restaurants. He was employed by the former Inland Express Co. as a dock worker until 1978 and later worked part time for the former Digital Co. in Hudson as a janitor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Brighton, a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 170 in Worcester, a member of Saint Luke's Church in Hudson and a member of Church of Our Savior in Worcester. He participated as a cast member along with his wife in the yearly shows of the Sudbury Senior Strutters, was an avid cribbage player playing in leagues at the Hudson V.F.W. and took great pride in his yearly vegetable garden at home.
Besides his wife he is survived by his 2 sons, Gary DerMugrditchian of Hudson, MA and Mark DerMugrditchian and his wife Cynthia of Whitinsville, MA. He is also survived by his 2 grandchildren, Lindsay and David DerMugrditchian, his sister, Liberty Mugrditchian of Clinton, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late, Mary, Grace, Rose and Harry Murgrditchian.
A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Luke's Church, Wood Square, Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
