Stow, MA Arthur "Gus" Graff, 74, a life long resident of Stow, died on Saturday, April 2nd, at his home in Stow, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann M. (LeBlanc) Graff of Stow.
Arthur was born in Concord, son of the late Gustav M. and Alice J. (Christensen) Graff, and raised in Stow where he attended local schools. He was a graduate of the former Hale High School in Stow. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed as a truck driver for many years by the Atlas Oil Company of Waltham and Taunton. He later was employed as a greenskeeper for the Maynard Country Club until he retired. Arthur was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling and cribbage matches with his friends. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ford Lyon of Stow, Sue Lyon of Hudson, Tom Graff and his wife Judy of Berlin, Mike Graff of Stow and Heidi McCurley and her husband Dave of Northboro. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie Michaud and her husband Mike, Amber D'Amore and her husband Nick, Shaun Graff, Meghan Graff, Brianna Graff, Danielle McCurley, Nolan McCurley and his great granddaughter, Angelina D'Amore. He was predeceased by his six siblings.
