Barbara Gibson Khosla. Born in London on December 10, 1933 to Samuel and Emily Gibson. Sister of Patricia Gibson Wankling (deceased). Beloved wife of Inder K. Khosla; mother of son Arun and daughters Maya (deceased) and Samantha Khosla; grandmother of Sarah and Grace Khosla; mother-in-law of Brendan Downey; sister-in-law of Avtar and Maureen Khosla, Kamal and Usha Khosla, Lalit (deceased) and Uma Gujral and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Barbara had family in India, Ireland, England, New Zealand and Australia, and friends everywhere. She lived in Coventry, England; Bombay, India; and all over the United States. Barbara loved the good life. She was a superb cook and made lavish meals for her family and her friends. A former librarian, she was an avid reader. She liked music, flowers, arts and crafts, and Golden Retrievers.
Barbara's interest in cooking extended beyond mere food. Cooking was an act of love and remembrance. She mastered her mother-in-law's recipes for Indian food and her mother's Christmas pudding. She loved to care for and nourish her family and friends. She was kind, witty, generous, and wonderful. We loved her dearly, and she will be greatly missed.
Services for Barbara are private and will be held at a later date.
Donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank.
