Barbara A. (Byron) McPartlen, 89, of Hudson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 25th. She was the wife of the late James J. (Sonny) McPartlen.

Barbara was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Cronin) Byron. She was a graduate of Hudson High School, class of 1945. Barbara was employed for many years at the Thomas Taylor and Sons Company in Hudson. She was a former member of the Hudson Emblem Club. She enjoyed reading, going to the theater and traveling with her family.

She is survived by her four children, Mary Ann Crowder of Woodbridge, VA, Michael McPartlen and his wife Sarah of Glover, VT, James McPartlen of New York, NY and Paul McPartlen and his partner Carol Dowen of Hudson, MA. Barbara is also survived by her four grandchildren, Dillon, Nathan, Sean and Maggie Jean as well as her great granddaughter Emma and many nieces and nephews. Barbara also leaves her sister Anne and her husband Richard Gardner and was predeceased by her sisters C. Jean Morin and Clare Byron.

The family would like to thank Home Care Solutions as well as MetroWest Homecare Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2nd at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St, Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday November 1st from 4-7p.m. at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com)
