Barbara M. Stone, 76, of Hudson, MA, died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at U-Mass Memorial Healthcare, Belmont Street in Worcester.
She was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Daigneault) Stone.
She graduated from Saint Michael Academy class of 1948 and later attended Framingham State Teachers College receiving her bachelors degree in 1952. She was a member of the Kempis Club and Commuter's Club during her four years of college and was the class Secretary her last two years of college.
Barbara was a school teacher for over forty years beginning in the Shrewsbury Public Schools and later for the Brophy School in the Framingham Public School System. She was an active member of Our Father's Table in Marlboro and later served as President representing Saint Michael's Parish of Hudson. She enjoyed traveling visiting many parts of the world including Australia, South America and many European Countries.
She is survived by her first cousins; Paul Daigneault of Cape Cod, Albert Shortsleeves of Hudson, Ann Bailey of Florida, second cousins; Lisa Poth of Plymouth, Laurie Eleuteri of Braintree and Bobby Poth of Pembroke. She is also survived by her extended family Carol, Gerry, Jay and Cathi Gault.
Her funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc, www.tighehamilton.com
50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 Friday, May 26, 2006 with a funeral mass at 9:00 a.m in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson MA. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 25, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson.
