Beverly A. (Veo) Daigneault, 85, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Coleman House in Northborough surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 64 years, Donald F. Daigneault in March of 2015.
Beverly was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late Henry W. and Hazel E. (Schofield) Veo. She was raised in Hudson where she attended St. Michael's Grammar School through the eighth grade and was a 1948 graduate of Hudson High School. Following high school, Beverly was employed at Victory Plastics in Hudson. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish.
Beverly supported her husband through various business ventures over the years. Together they owned and operated the Rotary Diner in Wood Square, Hudson from 1964 until they sold it in 1986. She devoted her life to her family, raising seven children. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her children, Michele Nemec and her husband George, David Daigneault and his wife Stella, Suzanne Murphy and her husband Lee, Aimee Sweringen and her husband Gary, Claudia Piper and her husband Scott, Annette Mollica and her husband Steve, and Valerie McGregor and her husband Bruce. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Veo and her brother-in-law Albert Daigneault and his wife, Jane, all of Hudson; her 17 grandchildren, Andrew Bruster and his wife Kerry, Laura Bruster, Jessie Daigneault, Maureen Murphy and her husband Steve Forest, Joseph Murphy, James Murphy, John Murphy and his wife Amy Geer, Elizabeth Murphy, Alexander Roman, Nicholas Roman, Patrick Bohenko, Audrey Piper, Christopher Piper, Anthony Mollica, Natalie Mollica, Sarah McGregor, and Ian McGregor; her three great-grandchildren, Nathan Bruster, AJ Bruster, and Eli Murphy along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Shirley Charron.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 14th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Sunday, March 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe--Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
