Bev and Don were childhood sweethearts and spent 60 years of marriage together. After she retired from her position as Executive Secretary to the President of Stratus Technologies she and Don traveled extensively returning several times to her beloved Paris; the city that became the newlywed's home in 1957.
They ventured to Alaska, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand where they met wonderful friends down under. They ventured cross-country a few times in their “detonator yellow” jeep with the grandkids and made memories to last forever.
Beverly showed what it’s like to have great strength in facing difficult times, especially as she fought and beat cancer, lost her husband, and battled Alzheimer's. But she was never alone. Her close friends and family were with her every step of the way.
She is survived by her two brothers - Phillip McKinley and Ronald McKinley, two sons - Kevin Valcourt and his wife Kristin, and Scott Valcourt and his wife Debra, and one daughter - Nadine McNeil and her husband John. She leaves 4 grandchildren - Melissa Hirons and her husband Jesse, James Valcourt and his wife Danielle, Danielle Meadows and her husband Kyle, and Jessica McNeil. She also leaves her great-granddaughter, Lily.
She will forever rest in peace.
