Billie Ann (Lamont) Thurber, 85, of Kittery, ME, formerly of Hudson, died on Saturday, April 4th at the Durgin Pines Nursing Home in Kittery, ME. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren Thurber who died in 2002.
Billie was born in Amherst, MA, daughter of the late William and Estelle (Watts) Lamont. She was raised in Marlboro where she attended local schools and was a 1947 graduate of Marlboro High School. Billie spent 24 plus years residing in Hudson and two years in Westboro before settling in Maine where she has resided the past 20 plus years. She was a former secretary for Lawrence Dohan M.D. Medical Office in Hudson and former member of St. Luke's Parish in Hudson.
Billie always looked forward to spending her summers in Wells Beach, ME. She enjoyed being around her loving family and especially spending time with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and later her great-great grandson. She was truly blessed and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Johnson of Moody, ME, Meredith Johnson of Wells, ME; her stepdaughter, Darlene Thurber of Marlboro and her 4 brothers, Ralph O'Coin of Ashland, Calvin O'Coin of Maynard, Brian O'Coin of Templeton and David O'Coin of Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bradford O'Coin.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service and celebration of Billie's life at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
