Brian Russell, 52, of Hudson, died on Thursday, June 18th unexpectedly at home. He is survived by his Mother, Barbara (Mullahy) Russell and his children Santina and John Russell.
Brian was born in Boston and raised in Marlboro, MA, son of Barbara A. (Mullahy) Russell and the late George D. Russell Jr. He attended Marlboro Public schools and was a 1980 graduate of St. John's High School. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Brian was active in both Marlboro Youth Baseball and hockey. He was an avid and successful motocross racer for many of his teenage years. Brian went on to automotive building and repairs. He spent the last 20 years in the construction industry where he worked for Parsons and Sorensen Paving Companies. Brian had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh even in the most difficult situations. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Brian enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his mother and children, he is survived by his brother, Robert Russell and his wife Kim of Hudson, sister Mary Teixeira and her husband George of Hudson. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Alyssa, and Robert Russell, Matt, Joshua and Chris Teixeira, his former wife Lynda Russell and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, June 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brian can be made to Russell Children's Fund c/o St. Mary's Credit Union, 439A Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
