Burton H. Tobey-81, of Berlin, died Saturday, Feb. 16, at Marlborough Hospital.
He was the husband of 52 years to Eva Parkhurst (Marble) Tobey who died on Jan. 14, 2008.
He was born in Hampton, FL, son of the late Arthur W. and Margaret L. (Mooney) Tobey. He was raised in Dorchester attending local schools. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Marines in the Pacific Theatre.
He was employed by General Motors in Framingham before retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, F. Geraldine (Marble) Touchette of Troy, MI, wife of the late Albert Touchette; his brother-in-law, David R. Marble and his wife Enrica of Berlin; and his 2 nieces, Debra D. Sloan and her husband Alan of Troy, MI and Pamela A. Menzer and her husband Robert of Denver, CO. He is also survived by Joyce Topham, Mary Lou Jelinek, Lillian C. Clement and Pamela Dunn.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
