Hudson, MA Camillo "Kelly" DiEorio, 86, of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, March 6th at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlboro surrounded by his family. He had a great run!
He was born in Taranta Peligno, Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Desolina (DelPizzo) DiEorio and was the husband of the late Ann (Dalessio) DiEorio who died in 1993. He attended Hudson public schools and entered the Navy in 1943, serving on the USS Canberra as a proud veteran of WWII. After his honorable discharge in 1946, Kelly along with his father owned and operated Jimmies/Kelly's Barber Shop on Main Street in Hudson where he was a fixture for over 50 years. Kelly was a lifetime member of the Marlboro Country Club and Hudson Lodge of Elks.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou McNiff and her husband Robert of Hudson; his granddaughter, Mikala Geurtsen and her husband Geoffrey of Hudson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ann Souza and Nelda Ferruccio.
The family extends their sincerest thanks to the second floor West staff at Bolton Manor Nursing Home for all their special care and kindness in the care of Kelly.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kelly may be made to: Activity Fund at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 400 Bolton Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
