Carlene Marie (Chiaravalloti) Cardin

Carlene Marie (Chiaravalloti) Cardin, 76, of Hudson, MA, died on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 24 years to the late Richard Paul Cardin who died in 1991.

Carlene was born in Marlboro, MA, daughter of the late Francis and Marie (Balthazar) Chiaravalloti. She was raised in Hudson attending local schools and graduated from Hudson High School. Carlene began her career as a waitress at age 16, working as a relish girl at Anthony’s Steak House in Framingham, MA. She waitressed at the Rotary Diner in Hudson eventually meeting the love of her life and future husband Richard. Following positions at several other local restaurants she settled in at the 99 Restaurant spending 43 wonderful years there as a waitress until retiring.

Carlene is survived by her siblings, Richard Chiaravallotti and his wife Prachuab of Washington State, Julie Lurz, Barbara Butcher, Brenda McClellan and her husband John and her sister-in-law, wife of the late Francis Chiaravalloti, Kathleen A. Chiaravalloti, all of Hudson, MA. She also leaves her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and close friends. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and James Chiaravalloti.

Carlene had many hobbies and interests throughout her life but she cherished the time with her husband and family, especially with all her nieces and nephews later in life. She was a true and avid Boston sports fan and always looked forward to those summer trips to Hampton Beach, NH. She was a joy in everyone’s life who knew her and will always be remembered for her warm heart and giving nature.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A service and celebration of Carlene’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 13th in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
