Carmel M. (McIaasac) Collette

Carmel M. (McIaasac) Collette, 77, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023 at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger J. Collette.

Carmel is survived by her daughter Michelle Collette of Hudson, MA; son Jeffrey Collette and his partner Darci Wardwell of Hudson, MA; daughter Denise Campbell and her husband Scott of Northborough, MA,  and her grandchildren, Shayne, Casandra and Nicole Mooar, Samantha, Tristan and Christopher Collette and Maclaine Campbell. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carmel was born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Peter and Violet (Morrissey) McIaasac. She was raised in Nova Scotia along with her 11 siblings. In 1963 she moved to Waltham, MA residing with her husband Roger. They moved to Marlborough, MA in 1971 and finally settled in Hudson, MA in 1979. Carmel was employed for over 25 years at Saint Anne Center in Marlborough, MA until her retirement. She was a former member of Christ the King Parish in Hudson, MA and member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, MA.

Carmel had many hobbies and interests throughout her life and in her spare time she enjoyed reading and socializing with friends. Cultivating plants and flowers was always a favorite pastime. She cherished her family, especially later spending time with her grandchildren. She always looked forward to spending time at Centennial Beach in Hudson, MA weather with family or friends, it was always a memorable day. Her warm smile, unique personality and caring spirit will always be remembered by those who loved and knew her.

Funeral services will be private. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
