Carol M. (Simko) Hamilton Cotter

Carol M. (Simko) Hamilton Cotter, of Marlborough, passed away on January 9th, 2019 of complications from lung cancer at UMass Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Hudson. She was the daughter of Theodore and Hazel Simko. She was also predeceased by her sister Dolores and her daughter Louann. Carol was 79 years young.

She leaves behind her husband Robert J. Cotter of Marlboro; her daughter, Shelley Lorrain and her husband Phil of Marlboro with whom she lived; her son, William Hamilton and his wife Mary of Rutland, Ma, and her son Keith Hamilton of Milford MA. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Jeffrey Baker, Philip and Katie Lorrain, Ryan and Nick Hamilton, Shawn McGonnell and her best dog friend Romeo. She also leaves behind three step-children, AnnMarie, Richard and Sean Cotter and many nieces and nephews.

Carol worked at Arrow Automotive, ACT, Datatrol and Data Translations over the years. She has many, many friends with whom she enjoyed traveling and spending time with. She and her husband spent the last five years wintering in Zepher Hills, Florida and summering in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Carol attended church regularly. Reading, playing games, Bingo, crossword puzzles and being by the ocean were some of her favorite things to do. She will be greatly missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 4 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Forestvale Cemetery for Committal Services.
