Carole Mae (Mosher) Barton, 74, of Hudson, , died on Sunday, Aug. 4th at her residence in Hudson surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edmond A. Barton of Hudson.
Carole was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late Ernest W. and Theoni M. (Angelo) Mosher. She was raised in Hudson where she resided for most of her life and was a 1956 graduate of Hudson High School. She served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until being honorably discharged in 1960. Carole was employed by the Hudson Savings Bank for 18 plus years until retiring as a Mortgage Originator in 1990. She was a member of Saint Luke's Parish in Hudson and the Hudson Senior Center.
Carole was an avid reader and especially enjoyed the works of Stephen King. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and puzzles in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother and loyal friend and will be greatly missed.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Laura T. Wells and her husband George of Framingham; her son, Ernest M. Barton; two grandchildren, Patrick and Amanda Barton and her cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles W. Mosher.
A funeral service and celebration of Carole's life will be held on Friday, Aug. 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
