Carrie Ellen (Gray) Allan, 93, of Hudson, MA, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare in Worcester, MA.
She was the wife of the late Alfred D. Allen who died in 1963.
She was born in Portage Lake, Canada, daughter of the late William and Lillian (Gesner) Gray. She resided in Canada before moving to Hudson in 1965.
She was a charter member and First Worthy Mistress of Grand Lake Lodge, L.O.B.A. #1239, The Range, New Brunswick, Canada, charter member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary, Chipman Branch #74, Royal Canadian Legion, Chipman, New Brunswick, Canada and charter member and past president of Coal Creek Women's Institute, Coal Creek, New Brunswick, Canada.
She worked as an assembler for the former Digital Equipment Corp. of Maynard until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hudson, a member of the Hudson Senior Citizens Center and was a Friendly Visitor, visiting several nursing homes in the area for some 14 years for the Hudson Senior Center.
She is survived by her several cousins from New Brunswick, Canada and Maine. She is also survived by her devoted church family at the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the many friends she loved in the Hudson area.

Her funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com.) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 in the funeral home. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
