Catherine A Moran

Catherine A. (Buckley) Moran of Hudson MA formerly of Watertown MA passed away a UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester MA on Monday, January 20, 2025. Catherine leaves her loving husband of 45 years James E. “Jim” Moran of Hudson, MA. 

She was born and raised in Watertown, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Murphy) Buckley. She attended local schools and was a 1971 graduate of Watertown High School. Catherine worked in the cafeteria at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School for 19 years. Catherine is a very proud stay at home mom, spending time raising her children and caring for their home. She was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson.

Besides her husband, Catherine is survived by her son Patrick Moran of Hudson MA and her daughter Colleen Moran of Hudson MA. She was predeceased by her late brother Timothy Buckley of Watertown MA & Deerfield Beach, FL as well as her infant children Michael and Mary who died at birth. 

Catherine enjoyed candlepin bowling with her friends. She enjoyed so many summer days and nights relaxing by the pool at her house. She enjoyed trips to Marshfield and going to the beaches in the area. If she wasn’t poolside, Catherine would be playing computer games or doing crossword puzzles and word searches in her spare time. She also enjoyed watching old sitcoms like Golden Girls and HGTV. 

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home 50 Central Street, Hudson MA 01749. A Vigil Service will be held from 5:00-5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
