Cecil “Butch” Veinotte, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer.
He is survived by, his sister, Debra Camuti, and her husband, Paul, of Milford; three brothers, David Veinotte and his wife, Mary, of Princeton, Walter Veinotte and his wife, Barbara of Maine and Richard Veinotte of Brewster; his aunt, Ellen Veinotte, of Chatham; a very special friend, Sue Carlson, of Marlborough; 4 Nephews; 1 Niece; 5 Grand Nephews, and 1 Grand Niece.
Butch was born in Boston, son of Virginia and Cecil Veinotte. He was proud to be a Hudson resident his entire life. Butch graduated from Marlborough High School and served in the U. S. Army National Guard for 4 years. Butch worked as an office equipment technician for over 50 years. He also had a favorite second job working in the deli at Victory Supermarket in Hudson.
Among his many hobbies, Butch had a passion for Mopar muscle cars, having owned many in the late 60’s and early 70’s. His cars were the envy of many Hudson teens. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, and darts. He had a vast record collection.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Amvets.
Butch’s family would like to thank the staff at UMass Medical for the professional and compassionate care that he received over the past month.
Butch will be missed by his family and many friends.
Calling hours will be held from 3 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 30, 2019 in the funeral home followed by a procession to Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson for interment.
