Cecilia M. (Lajoie) Correia, 92, of Hudson, formerly of Marlboro, died Wednesday, June 13th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Marlboro, daughter of the late Edward E. and Ida (Belhuemer) Lajoie, Cecilia was employed in the shoe manufacturing industry for many years locally until her retirement.
Cecilia was a resident at Peter's Grove in Hudson where she enjoyed the many functions and friends she had the opportunity to share time with. She cherished all the times she spent with her family and was especially proud to be a part of all their lives as a 5th generation mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Bissonnette of Hudson; her three grandchildren, Rebecca Benevelli of Marlboro, Heidi Stafford of Clinton and Mark Bissonnette of Henderson, NC; her 9 great grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Mathew, Kalen, Kaitlyn, Patrick, Evan, Jacob and Brianna; her 4 great-great grandchildren, Kailynn, Rileigh, Bailee and Cole and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her many siblings.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 34 Felton Street, Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
