Charlotte M. (Burgess) Wians, 82, of Hudson, formerly of Southboro, died Tuesday, Oct. 5th at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a 5 year courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Frank Wians for 58 years.
Born and raised in Waltham, daughter of the late Edwin and Mildred (Kneeland) Burgess, Charlotte resided in Southboro for 20 years before moving to Hudson in 1990. She was employed as an assembler for many years at G.E. Telecron in Ashland before her retirement. She was a member of the Minute Man Rod & Gun Club in Burlington where she was also a cook for many years. To honor Charlotte for her service, the kitchen at the club was named after Charlotte. Charlotte was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed her frequent trips to Foxwoods with family members and friends.
She is survived by her five children, Dr. Frank Wians Jr. and his wife Patricia of San Antonio, TX, Carol Sawyer of Hudson, Roy Wians and his wife Mary of San Antonio, TX, Scott Wians of Blackstone and Glenn Wians and his wife Sue of Millbury. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved dog "Chloe". She was the sister of the late Eleanor Page and Francis and Walter Kneeland.
