Claire M. (Golden) Mulready 81, of Milford, formerly of Hudson, passed away on June 15, 2013, after a battle with lung cancer. She was the loving wife of Joseph Mulready who passed away in 1994. She is survived by her three children, Lee Daneau of Hampstead, NH, Chris Mulready and his wife Lauren of Norton and John Mulready and his wife Susan of Milford. She was the grandmother to Rachel, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Elizabeth and MariKathryn. She leaves several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Claire was born and raised in North Quincy, daughter of the late Frank J. and Alice V. (McCoy) Golden. She attended local schools and graduated from North Quincy High School, class of 1949. She later received her Teachers Degree from Bridgewater State College in 1953. She started her teaching career in Brockton, and Weymouth before moving to Hudson in 1964. She taught bilingual education in Hudson then taught in Marlborough Schools for over twenty years. She retired in 1993. Claire was most recently the Assistant Principal of Hudson High School. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association for over 60 years and was a past Vice President of the Marlborough Teachers Association. Her passion was educating children.
Her greatest passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. She would treasure the time she spent with her family.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, June 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
