Claire T. (Flanagan) Peterson, 87, of North Brookfield, was reunited with her one true love George, and her children Renee and Anthony on Monday, October 21, 2013.
Claire was born in Boston, daughter of the late John J. and Marie (Liggett) Flanagan. She was raised in Newton where she attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of Newton High School. In 1960, Claire moved to Marlborough where she took great pride in raising her family and eventually settled in North Brookfield in 2004.
Claire was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, George W. Peterson Jr.in 1992 and her two children Renee and Anthony. She has left a legacy in her surviving children, Karen Murphy and her husband Dennis of Hudson, Linda Siraco of Charlton, Cheryle Kline and her husband Keith of Marlboro, Maureen Bondi and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury and George W. Peterson III of North Brookfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Siraco, Kristen Sprague and her husband Andy, Brenna Maguire and her husband Jason, Wendy Smith and her husband Jeff, Kevin Murphy and his wife Catherine, Matthew Kline, Anthony Bondi, Jamie Siraco, Brendan Bondi, George W. Peterson IV, Robert Peterson, Rebecca Peterson; her great grandchildren, Riley, Colin, Keira, Joseph, Patience, Nora, Emilia, Wyatt, Owen and Sawyer, all of whom she deeply loved; her siblings, Eleanor, Marilyn, Patricia, Barbara, Ralph and Walter and many nieces and nephews.
Claire's family would like to send a special thank you to the entire staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation Center in Northboro, especially to her dedicated nurses, Linda, Kelly, Stephen Z. and Rosemary. "We know that this is not goodbye, only so long... "
A funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial services will be held privately in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Marlboro at a later date.
