Clara E. (King) Crouse, 85, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 surrounded by her loving family to join her beloved husband, Earl E. Crouse.
Clara was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Loren and Elsie (Guilbault) King. She attended local schools and was a 1946 graduate of Hudson High School. She married her high school sweetheart Earl and took great pride in the care of their home and raising their four children. She later worked for McCormack's Pharmacy in Hudson and eventually spent many years working in the Assessors Office for the Town of Hudson until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her four children, Richard Crouse and his wife Myla of Conroe, TX, Joyce Teixeira and her husband Tony of Berlin, Robert Crouse and his wife Diane of Hudson and Wendy Shulenburg and her husband David of Wareham. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia McCarthy of Hudson; her two brothers, Loren King Jr. of Clinton, Stuart King of Hudson; her 9 loving grandchildren; 5 adoring great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Russo.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, April 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A funeral service and celebration of Clara's life will be held on Friday, April 4th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
