Clara L. Rodrigues

Clara L. (Lourenco) Rodrigues, 95, a longtime resident of Hudson MA, passed away on April 19th, 2024.

Clara is survived by her husband of 70 plus years, Joe L. Rodrigues of Hudson, MA and their son Fr. Joseph C. Rodrigues S.D.S., of the Society of the Divine Savior. Clara’s sisters and brothers are and were, Maria de Lourdes and husband Antonio; Maria dos Anjos and husband Antonio; Jose and wife Arminda; Manuel and wife Maria, along with all their children.

Clara was born and raised in Guarda, Portugal, daughter of the late Marcelino and Emilia (Martins) Lourenco. She emigrated to the United States and settled in Hudson, MA for the past 70 plus years. She was an assembly worker until her retirement. She was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Women’s group. She was also a member of the Portuguese Continental Union. Clara was a former member of Christ King Parish in Hudson and was currently a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, where she was a choir member for several years.

Clara was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and providing hospitality for family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing and singing, listening to music, and looked forward to board games and playing cards with friends. She had the unique ability to bring joy and show loving kindness to all those she met. Her ready smile and sweet gentle nature put people at ease. She will always be remembered by those who loved and knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Hudson.
