Cletus Terwiske, Jr. (33) passed away after a long and valiant battle with addiction. He is in the kingdom of God that he knew was waiting for him, and his pain is released.
Cletus is survived by his mom and stepdad, Sheryl and John Marrazzo of Hudson, MA, and his father and stepmom, Clete and Karen Terwiske of North Grafton, MA; his sister and her husband, Katelynn and Ryan Walker, his beloved niece, Ellie, and nephew, Tyler, all of Leominster, MA; his brother, Jake Marrazzo of Hudson, MA; and his stepsister and her husband, Elex and Diego DeMorais of Pawtucket, RI; his grandparents Edwin and Jean Brown of North Hampton, PA; his step grandparents Joseph Marrazzo and Patricia Barry and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cletus was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Bernard and Mary Mancini, his paternal grandparents, Cletus (Lee) and Eleanor Terwiske and his step-grandmother, Joan Marrazzo who we know greeted him with a warm hug in heaven.
Cletus was born in Framingham, MA and grew up in Hudson, MA. He attended Hudson Catholic Schools until he was a sophomore, when he began attending Hudson High School. He decided to join the Army Reserves, and attended boot camp between his Junior and Senior years of High School. Cletus was an amazing athlete and excelled at all the sports he tried; he especially loved gymnastics until he was the only boy in the class! Cletus’ struggle with addiction revealed his strength and character as he fought hard to overcome it.
As Cletus found God, through him, was pulled up and became the happy kid we will always know and remember. He was baptized in February of 2023 at the New Life Church in New Bedford, MA, where he helped out in the children’s room; he felt he had so much to offer them about learning how to live your best life, in spite of challenges we all face. After a relapse, Cletus attended a Christ-Centered community program at His Mansion in Deering, NH, where he began to restore his broken soul. It was a tough, but life-changing program, and his family will forever be grateful for the last several months of having our son, brother, uncle and nephew back.
Cletus was currently employed at Jet Mail in Hudson, MA. He found a new passion and therapy hitting the gym daily at Crunch Fitness and was determined to get into healthy. He attended Church on Sundays at Metro Church in Marlboro, and loved hearing the Word from Pastor Chad. Cletus will be remembered by those who loved him not as an addict, but as a beautiful, amazing, generous soul taken by a disease that does not discriminate and can truly happen to any family.
A Celebration of Cletus’ life will be held at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Family and friends may attend a period of visitation from 10:00AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cletus’ name to His Mansion Ministries at 395 Wolf Hill Road, Deering, NH 03244 or the 4 Jake’s Sake Charitable Foundation www.4jakessake.com.
