Constance B. (Connie) Gangne (86) passed away at her home Tuesday, Nov. 28 after a long series of illnesses.

She was born in Milton, MA and raised in Dorchester, MA. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Of 51 years, Arthur E. Gangne, in 2003. She was a resident of Stow for many years, where she and her husband raised their family. She was well known as “Apple Annie” for her work at Derby Orchards and Fruit Acres where she packed apples for many years. She was very active at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Stow as a member of the Sodality. She participated at the Church fairs, bowling league and other church functions during her time in Stow. She was also a Police Matron for the Stow Police Department on an as needed basis.

She was the daughter of Aston and Agnes Stevens. Her family moved to Acton in 1974 and then to Maynard in 1981 to present. She is survived by her Son Richard S. Gangne of Maynard, and her Daughter Patricia (Gangne) Goodwin and Her Husband Walter who reside in Auburndale, FL. She is also survived by three Step-Granddaughters of 43 years, Brenda Wheeler of Vermont, Nancy Martin of Pelham NH and Susan Lacoy of Wisconsin and their families. Connie is survived by her Brother Robert Stevens of Manchester, NH, Sister Alice Knickerbocker of Worthington, MA, Brother Kenneth Stevens and his wife Barbara of Milton, MA, Sister Muriel Conway of Holbrook and Sister Dorothy Corridan of So. Weymouth, MA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

There will be a Graveside Service which will be held in the late Spring of 2018. These wonderful people are the ones who gave Connie the best quality of life that was possible through her illnesses along with her Son who resided with her. Our sincere thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers along the journey.

She was a great Wife, Mom, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to us all.
