Constantina (Cabral) Barrigas, 88, of Hudson, died on Sunday, Nov. 20th at Autumn Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 50 plus years to the late Bernardino Barrigas.
Constantina was born and raised in St. Michael, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel and Margarida (Sousa) Cabral. She resided in Attleboro for a short time but has lived in Hudson for the most part of the last 43 years. She was employed as an assembler for several local companies including Hudson Lock Co. and New England Tape Co., both of Hudson. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and enjoyed reading and crocheting in her spare time.
She is survived by her four children, Lucia Silva of Hudson, Lora Cardoso of Brazil, Sandy Dias of West Boylston and Bernardino Barrigas of Chicago. She is also survived by her two sisters, Angelina Botelho and Abelina Cabral, both of Hudson; her 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 21st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
