Cynthia Hougham Getchell

Cynthia Hougham Getchell, 63, of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at UMass Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family.

Cindy was born on June 17, 1958 in Boston, MA. She was born to the late Ronald and Joan (Collins) Hougham. Formerly of Needham, she resided in Hudson for the past 30 years.

She is survived by her loving husband Stephen, daughter Melanie, and her two beautiful grandchildren Kayden and Ryan. She leaves behind her sister Amie Alzapiedi, a niece and nephew, many cousins, and cherished friends.

Cindy’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her favorite things were her husband, her family, and her iced coffee. Those who were close to her knew her as someone who was fairly simple and low maintenance; didn’t want or ask much of anyone. She was extremely caring and generous to those around her. She especially enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family and friends in Wells, Maine.

Family and friends are invited for a period of visitation on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street Hudson, MA. Following services family and friends are invited to the Hudson Portuguese Club located at 13 Port Street Hudson, MA.
